this thing has been stripped...that is the chain laying on the ground. however, the metal theft device really seemed to protect the frame...

HOLLYWOOD CEMETERY
This is an honorary post for my friend Sam. She took this photo at the hollywood cemetery - there's another one but she won't let me post it.
As good as the above photo is, I can't help think of a quote from a really bad (but awesome) movie, which i won't name: "If it's an ambulance you got a chance, if it's in a hearse, it's gotta be worse"

I'm working in Santa Monica again and to do my part for the environment I walk or bike to work - it's just shy of 3 miles, not far. these are photos i captured one clear morning.

yesterday meets today
i walked home from work the other day and saw the above pay phone...and it made me think how you rarely see pay phones anymore...two blocks later i see the iphone display in the window of the AT&T store...times they are a changin'....
